SCAM ALERT!

Technoriant Sdn Bhd and TVET AustralAsia (“TVETAA”) has been made aware of unauthorised individuals and/ or organisations

(1) falsely using the TVET AustralAsia name and impersonating TVETAA employees/ agents on social media platforms and messaging apps, and

(2) publishing misleading information and claiming to recruit participants for the K-Youth Development Programme (“K-Youth”), a Khazanah Nasional Berhad initiative.

These fraudulent schemes and misleading information are forms of phishing attacks and confidence tricks, attempting to unlawfully acquire personal data, including bank account details and identification documents, and/or money from members of the public. These scams have been reported to the relevant authorities.

We are also aware of unscrupulous and irresponsible third parties that operate under the guise of K-Youth and similar initiatives on social media and other online and offline activities. Their activities are not condoned nor sanctioned by TVETAA nor Technoriant Sdn Bhd. Official complaints and police reports have been duly made.

TVETAA stresses that:

* We only accept applications to the K-Youth programme through the official registration form available from      our Secretariat;

* TVETAA does not accept applications via social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook etc.;

* We do not accept applications through third party agents, recruiters, or other individuals that are not authorised, and do not provide nor condone commission schemes or multi-level payments via these entities;

* Successful Youths who are enrolled in K-Youth programme will be officially notified through official TVETAA business accounts via official email and WhatsApp.

Here are a few quick ways to recognise attempted fraud:

1. TVETAA official website www.TVETAustralAsia.com.au provides the primary reference of our offering. Any other format is not official and is not safe to be relied on.

2. Applications to the TVETAA K-Youth programme are only accepted through official TVETAA channels that is verified with TVETAA or Khazanah Nasional. Any online link is not genuine.

3. TVETAA phone numbers and WhatsApp business accounts are listed on our website and official social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.

4. Official emails from TVETAA will come from email addresses ending in "@tvetaustralasia.com.au”. All other emails are not genuine.

5. No money transfers or payments of any kind will ever be requested from applicants at any point in the K-Youth application process.

Should you receive any suspicious messages as described above, exercise extreme caution and forward the suspicious messages to [email protected].
