IPD & Haas Business School Hosts Executive Training Programme With Google, Amazon, Target, Salesforce, Etc
Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations (METEOR) Sdn Bhd provides a wide spectrum of education, skills, and professional development programmes via its two major entities; Open University Malaysia (OUM) and the Institute of Professional Development (IPD). This is in line with its mission of democratising education by making it available for all.
The Institute of Professional Development (IPD) has entered into a collaboration with the University of California, Berkeley (Haas Business School) to offer executive education and tour in “Innovation and Culture at Silicon Valley” through its strategic partnership with Technoriant Sdn Bhd. The partnership also covers exploration into joint certification, programme development, and delivery methods with the acclaimed University.
Through this collaboration, companies – be it large, mid-tier, SMEs, or start-ups are given the opportunity to partake in a 5-day programme that will commence on 10 October 2022. The participants will be taken on an immersion tour to Silicon Valley, California. There, they will be brought on corporate visits to leading companies in Silicon Valley such as Google, Amazon, Target, Salesforce, etc., to better understand the ecosystem for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The programme is curated to be immersive and engaging by including out-of-classroom experience through engagement with venture capitalists, investors, and potential collaborators in Berkeley and San Francisco city, the latter being voted by Time Out as the ‘world’s best city to live in for 2021’. The candidates will also undergo business matching through this mission that is supported by the Malaysia External Trade Corporation (MATRADE).
The programme is curated jointly between IPD and Faculty Director of Haas Business School, author, and entrepreneur, Prof. Mark Coopersmith. The University of California, Berkeley is ranked by US News & World Report as the highest-rated public university in the United States of America (USA) and counts more than 104 recipients of the Nobel prize associated with the University.
